I'd make my own dyson sphere where the entire inside shell would be all vegetation with a few plains here and there and make it so that a sentient civilization would evolve there in scattered places. I'd see how long it took for the whole thing to be discovered by my civilization or for two or more civilizations within the sphere to meet and mingle. If, for example one "tribe" was on one side of the sphere and the other was on the opposite side, I wonder how long it would take the tribes to migrate to the other side being as the sphere is so huge (the diameter of earth's orbit around the sun)

I'd try to guide them not as a god but as some other form - I don't know the term right now but I'd want to look over them to make sure they flourish and prosper and live peacefully. Maybe take the form of one of them and become a leader of sorts a few times over the centuries to provide knowledge and the know how to not go to war and destroy themselves.

It might also be a good idea to make a few areas of the sphere to open up to allow access to space so when the time comes that they become technologically sophisticated so as to make spacecraft, they could know what lies beyond their home should they choose to leave.

I'd, of course would want to make my sphere around a young star so as to not have the thing die before they reach their full potential.
