A question: Have you litteraly said that you where from Iceland and lied to the forum about this or is the only "trace of you in Iceland" to be seen at your location in your profile at WP?

I joked about my location. I would never claim to actually be from Iceland seriously unless I did live there. I like Iceland a lot.

Um, another dream went up in smoke here.... I dreamt of an Icelandic little fairy and now....

Nah, just kidding. (do think Iceland is cool though)

Cool? It's damn freezing! Unless of course you are near one of the volcanoes.

Actually the climate of Iceland is not dissimilar to that of the UK- cool, wet summers and milder winters.

Okay, interesting to know.

You know when I was in the young teens I was in a phase of my life where I lied about my origins. I wanted to be from another country and to be somebody else and to have another background. I still want all this but I know that joking and pretending is better than a real lie

And you are a diagnosed aspy I see, we are known to have difficulties to lie right

Well, if one has a fairy (regardless size) to keep one warm.... I know there are some trees but me being an ermine I would really miss forests there, I guess.

I'd just love the quietness of it :) I HATE overcrowded cities.

I can relate to not liking crowded cities. That's why I live in the middle of the French countryside with only cows for neighbours. Can't say I've ever fancied Iceland; only ever seen it on the TV over the years and it always looks such a cold and bleak place. Good place to live if you enjoy eating fish.

A lot of people on here put a location that represents their state of mind, rather than where they are geographically.

Nothing wrong with it, though.

Well I have a few places I'd like to live, all at high latitudes though:

Iceland
Northern Alaska
Svalbard, Norway

The latter two are probably too cold though :(

indeed and Im one of them. I like when others also state their location of their mind and dreams. Nothing is wrong with that. But it can be confusing sometimes. I took for granted that cockney rebel was british and lived in London until I found out the other day this is not the case. Cockney rebel never returned to that thread again so I never got to discuss that issue further which I thought was a pity...

anyway jocundthelilac I like you beeing honest and share where you would like to be if not in England. I would never do as you, speak up and say my physical location!!

One of those things I never forget moments :
Iceland is actually quite green
and Greenland is actually quite icy ; it was named Greenland to encourage immigration by the Vikings, way back when.
