I realized something, it takes me aboutt three tries to get something right.

For example:

-To get my M license [motorcycle license] I took the test...the written test three times before I passed it, failed it two times. Third try I passed it and got my motorcycle permit.

-Before like any kid at 15, I learned Driver's Ed. And it took me three times before I passed the Class C license.

Anyone else seem to have the Three times spell?

Robert Bruce and his spider? Oh, hang on, that was 7 wasn't it?

Hmmm......it took me 3 attempts to get my drivers license, but that's the only one I can think of. I'm inclined to think that it's not magic but just coincidence. Sometimes I get things right first time, other times I might try 10 times and still fail.

Strange though, when I record my singing I usually do a number of "takes" and pick the best one. I've found that the best is very often the third take......for the first two I'm still getting in the groove, after the 3rd I'm usually getting stale.

I don't believe in numerology, but it's fascinating even so.

I don't know. I never seem to get anything right on the first try. I just guess I'm that kind of slow.

With me, I either do things right the first or second time or it takes me a long time to do them right.

Not sure about numerology here either but I have been obsessing over threes today so this topic is tickles my funny bone.

Father, mother, me. Father, son, holy ghost. Politics, philosophy, religion. Mind, body, spirit. Triangles. Pyramids. There is such an appeal in three. Gahh!!

Same here except I also sometimes do worse before I get better. My 3rd try may take longer & be more imperfect than my 1st & 2nd. I think it could be related to anxiety

I don't think that my problem is anxiety. I think I'm just really good at some things, and horrible at everything else.

I'm horrible at certain things to but my anxiety OCD issues can makes it worse. I'm quick to give up after a few tries because I rather not waste my time & effort trying because that may make things worse. The phrase Learned Helplessness is the story of my life
