I personally wouldn't want my parents lurking here. I don't want them seeing what I say about myself and them. It would make me feel nervous if they saw it. I would have to censor myself more.

AAH no that would be a nightmare.
I do let her read the parent's discussion forum because I don't post there.
She asked if she could join a few times and I'm like NO!! ! YOU'LL SEE MY POSTS.
I don't want her to see my posts, except for the ones I read to her.

How does she not see your posts here? Does she not go to the other boards?

She only looks at parent's discussion and indepth adult life discussion. She doesn't read it much though.
She doesn't look at the others because I told her not to because I'm a bit ebarrassed about some of the things I put.

No way, I'd be afraid of what they might post about me, or that they would insist on reading all of my posts.

Doesn't matter. They don't know English and I have my own laptop

But if they saw Autism and Asperger's Forum, they would say You should socialise yourself, not stay unsociable! Change forum, meet people and be normal!

If they knew English: no way, I don't want to listen to Behave yourself! What do you write? Why did you said that....? Delete this post! I'm disgusted!
I want to have my own space and not confess to anything I write. They're too much I-must-control-you type.

My dad already knows about this and he's seem my threads.

I wouldn't mind my parents knowing that I post here but I prefer to let them just find out for themselves instead of me finding it for them.
Also it would much easier for them to see what it's like in my world I have to deal with and what I go through.

I woulnd't want them to know. And probably wouldn't want anybody from my family to know.

I wouldn't want my mom on here, cos I already have her on Facebook. That's enough. I DO wish she'd spend more time understanding AS, but she doesn't like to read.

My mother is on this site, actually shes the one who showed me this site in the first place

I don't have to worry about her reading what I write since we stay in different sub forums most of the time.

I actually would like having my mom on this website. I tell her everything that goes on here anyway, so it wouldn't make much of a difference. I could just picture her quoting my posts and saying things like "Aly, you're so cute!" She always finds stuff I say "cute". She's a nice mom.

I'm not really sure what my dad would do if he joined WP. I think he would spend most of his time in the PPR forum arguing with people. He's a really nice guy, but he's very old-fashioned and not very tolerant of other peoples' opinions and lifestyles.

HELL NO would I want my mom on here, she'd piss everyone off.
Her birthday was yesterday.

Same goes for my sister, she'd turn into a cyber-bully.

I wouldn't want them in the Adult forum (they don't even know I lost my virginity about 6 months ago). Other than that, there isn't anything else on here that they don't already know about.
