Its not even 10:00am where I'm living and it says there is 49 new members today. Usually in 24 hours you only have 30 something new members. I thought it was a glitch but I checked the members list and it looks like its not a glitch. Coincidence? Did someone use multiple emails and make multiple accounts?

Could be bots.

Mass registrations usually occur when something like this happens:

we're one of the few forums that make it easy for trolls to join. plus controversial threads don't seem to be moderated as much as on other forums.

That's probably what it is, according to this, there has been 69 new members yesterday.
After all, that would be bizarre if anyone could do that?

Do old accounts get deleted about as fast as new accounts get started? I've noticed that since I've been here, the total membership base has been in the higher 30k. It seems like we should have broke the 40k mark at the rate of new accounts by now.

It just messes up the database deleting inactive members, I have no idea why though? But at the rate this is going, it might take about 2 or 3 months to get there, just predicting.
