Mesonyx is a very cool prehistoric land dolphin.

Tardigrades are actually my favorite animal. I love how invincible they are, and I actually think they're cute.

I almost started crying out of sheer joy when I discovered this today: Sequel to Tim Burtons Alice in Wonderland in the works (click)

Seriously, a sequel to my favorite movie of all time!? I've had dreams about this, you guys. And what's really great is that this news has revitalized my love for the first Alice in Wonderland and my obsession with the Mad Hatter. For those of you who missed my Mad Hatter avatars... Well, you're in luck, because you'll be seeing a lot of him around here now, at least until I come down off of this enormous emotional high. :bounce:

there was a house fly that was in my house for about 4 days.
he was very agile and alert and sprightly and i took not much notice of him.
however, he interfered with my vision on many occasions as he flew past my visual field.

today i noticed him again, and he was much less active than he was before, and i noticed that his abdomen was empty. he had used up all his energy flying into windows in my house trying to get outside, and he was close to death. his tail bulb was transparent and i knew he had used up all his energy, so i decided to rescue him. he was easy to catch in a tumbler with a cardboard plate sealing the base of the tumbler.i caught him and i let him go outside. he flew away and i hope that he found all the nutrition he needed in the real natural environment that he had been deprived of while he was in my house for so many days,

insane huh? well if you think i am insane i am glad i do not know you. that fly needed to be helped and i helped him.
