Is this a part of aspergers?
I can think of random stuff and the picture comes into my mind very well.

The same thing happens to me as well.

I don't like to sound as if boasting, but my imagination is phenomenal. So much that it drives me insane because I can imagine so much.

Sometimes I think it is reality for a second. Like I get delusional for a second but I snap back into place.

Yes I do this a lot. People think that I am slow when really I am thinking of something that I have seen on TV or some other media.

The images in my mind's eye are always vague.

I have a vivid imagination, but it's both very vague and very specific at the same time. The details of something are often undefinable, but all together, they create a very accurate picture of something I'm thinking about. I've noticed this particularly when trying to find photo references for stuff in my stories, such as characters, locations and props.

I never let it interfere with reality, though. I pretty much can't; my brain won't let it.

Lace-Bane has a very vivid imagination :). Although, he has heard that it isn't necessarily a trait of autism at all :|. He can create creatures, people, props, and scenery on a whim inside his skull casing, but when he consciously tries to pay attention to the detail... it starts to fade :|. It's like remembering a face in your mind and then trying to focus on it with your eyes... it doesn't work very well :?.

Lace-Bane is an artist and finds this frustrating :|. People tell him he draws very well, but he knows the pictures are nothing as special as what's in his mind's endless vault :(.

Also, if Lace-Bane has no strong real world interests to anchor him to reality... he loses himself inside his infinite world that is so much more exciting :|.

Lace-Bane is currently tethered to reality though :D
