About two weeks ago i was in my bedroom and there was a massive ruckus in the loft above the room. Now I've had mice up there before and also an entire roost of bats but this sounded huge and i was thinking a cat must have got up there or something.

So i went up in the loft and it was a mouse, but it had been caught in a trap that i have no recollection of putting up there because it was a snap trap and I've always used the humane ones.

Anyway the snap trap hadn't killed it so it was just dragging it around the loft trying to get free, hence the big ruckus.

I caught it and got the mouse out of the trap. He seemed pretty out of it so i put him in a bucket with some water and some oats in case he recovered and left him out in the shed. In the morning it'd clearly recovered enough to jump out of the bucket and scarper.

Correct. It's running round my living room as we speak. Trying to catch the little bugger but so far it's too fast for me.

 It's a little s**t

We used to get them when I was a kid. I'd be sitting there all quiet watching telly and one would come out and run along the fireplace. It never bothered me back then but I reckon it'd send me into a frenzy if it happened to me now.

Have you got a fishing net
