my son is a strawberry blonde. so light ginger hair. and my daughter has blonde hair with ginger streaks.

I agree on all counts. I also have dirty blonde hair, and I sometimes think about dyeing it red.

Well I have noticed that their are people on WP that wish they was ginger I am a natural red head with light freckles all over my body I was called all kinds of names in school for being ginger but I didnt care my mom is ginger so is my brother and granmother

I find the gingers have no souls thing to be mean but kinda funny.

I don't think it's mean. It's a silly statement that in no way could be based on fact. Nobody really thinks that redheads don't have souls - unless they think that nobody else has souls either. The old "dumb blonde" thing is meaner, but people don't think that's true either. The friend that told her the souls thing is a redhead. She thinks it's funny. I have another daughter that's blonde who likes to tell blonde jokes (she's an honor student). The other daughter has had hair of every color you can imagine, sometimes at once. Sometimes it was partially red and partially blonde at once.

The jokes about souls and IQ points aren't based on any kind of real facts or observation. The one thing that we can't deny though is, excepting the small number with prematurely gray hair and the few who dye theirs grey, those of us with snow on the roof are getting over the hill.

Most of my family is ginger just about all of us have freckels and pale white skin but not all of us was born with red hair except me.

My dad is cherokee and he can tan but my mom can tan to but its because she has a fake bake :lol:

I found out that ginger could be an insult as recently as within the past year or two when reading a person complaining on a forum about it. Before that the only thing I remember against redheads was the saying about being treated or beaten "like a red headed step child".

I've dyed my hair red before and my mother does now. I have a cousin that has a kid with red hair and the baby I gave up for adoption had reddish hair, at least when he was young. I only saw pictures from when he was little.
