Most countries follow the established formats of TV game shows they import from the United States. Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! are the top games shows in most of the other countries where they air, but the French didn't take to Jeopardy!; the answer-question format "just didn't seem right to them," said president of King World International, Fred Cohen. The company wouldn't change the format, so the show went off the air.

its hard to consider the russian navy modern, much of their vessils r rusting and inoperable. The millitary channel did a thing on them, past, present and future. Although they have a few more modern vessils they obtained from other nations most likly, they really cant effect world events with their navy, or even any part of their military for that matter, i know a while back they did an operation in Chechnya, and that had limited success. But their navy, if it is to recover from budget deficits, and political, social and economic chaos, will take decades b4 they can have a nice, modern navy that can effect the outcome of battle on the seas.

Interesting fact about the battle cruisers tho, i dont recall the millitary channel saying anything about that, thats cool!

At Glastonbury Festival in 2005, the Bassist of "The Bravery" played half the set naked after a member of the crowd stole his trousers. That crowd member was me :D My girlfriend of the time was with me, and she did not approve.

The river Potomac in Washington DC has a native American (Delaware)name .
The Greek word for 'river' is 'Potamos'. There are other examples of similar
connected names throughout the American continent that suggest ancient Greek
galleys reached it centuries before Columbus.

The azeotrope of ethanol (ethyl alcohol) and water is about 95.6% ethanol to 4.4% water, the ethanol cannot be purified further by distillation. A molecular sieve is needed to 'strain' out the remaining water to have anhydrous ethanol.

I'll assume the uselessness is the units. I am too lazy to convert.

The speed of light = 299,792,458 m/s is a very important fact to Physicists like myself.

Useless fact: The odds of successfully navigating an asteroid field are approximately 3,720 to 1.
