Reptiles and tarantulas. I have a bearded dragon right now, and if I could afford a tarantula or two, I'd have that too.

Also, I've always wanted to own a scorpion.

I voted "other". My current special interest is spiders (as anyone who has read the pets sticky will know). I am pretty much equally interested in and equally like most domestic animals though. I have owned more cats than any other kind of pet.

Yeah, cacti are pretty cute... but they don't have silky smooth leaves to pet and rub on with one's fingers >_>

I can't imagine petting a cactus to be pleasant at all really :?

I used to have a bearded dragon, his name was Fluffy. It was ironic. Spiders scare the crap out of me, I'm too afraid of them to even squash them, which is fortunate for them I suppose.

I usually switch between cats and dogs, it depends on my moods.

I've always liked dogs, since they're so friendly and snuggly, but I like fish, too...bettas in particular. They're fun and soothing to watch swimming around.

Having a pet dolphin would be fun, too, if I lived near the beaches in Florida - cuz I wouldn't be so cruel as to confine one to a swimming pool or tank. :(

ETA: Woo hoo, it's my 500th post! :D

Hmmm I have one cat currently and one dog and it's really hard to decide.
So far I have had two cats in my life , a few fish and one Cocker Spaniel.
Both of which I find both lovely and unique in their own way.
Charlie being the only one I have had since he was a puppy(now he is nearly two) never had a cat since it was a kitten(Though would love to raise one).I can't decide between cats and dogs really both are comforting and a joy to have around :D .
