I was just curious to see what sorts of pets people around here like most; I see a lot of cat avatars especially, and wondered if there was a correlation.

I'm torn between dogs and cats.

I'm biased towards dogs because I've had one almost my whole life. But when I've lived cats I've loved them.

The child in me loves snakes and turtles.

My newest favorite animal that I'd like to have as a pet is a hedgehog! :-D

I think dogs definitely. A lot more than a pet, a loyal companion almost certain to return the love and happiness you give.

I adore cats...but the whole litter box thing grosses me out lol...I have a cockatiel now. She's awesome...a little needy & clingy, but I can handle that from a 90g birdie as opposed to a 50lb dog, lol.

I've had two pet Venus Fly Traps in my life. I love them.

I also had a plant and college that reminded me to chill out once in a while: If I was getting so stressed and overwhelmed that I forgot to water it and it started to turn brown, it was time to chill out.

I'm definitely a cat person first and foremost (I have two currently), but I think I would also really enjoy the right kind of dog if I had the time to fully take care of one. I'd really love a husky.

Never been a fan of any of the toy dog breeds so I tend to avoid them at all costs.
