i call it Phantom Phone Syndrome.
Wikipedia-Phantom Vibration Syndrome

it is when you think you feel your phone vibrate when it really does not.

You do not know how many times this happens to me! It's more often than you think.

I'm afraid of smart phones. They always are loaded with social media and vibrate upon updates. My brother and sister check their phones daily...

Is this one of things that really exist but is unheard of, like exploding head syndrome ? I guess you could categorize this with whats-it-called when you hear ringing in your ears due to damage ...

I f*****g HATE it when my phone vibrates. Whenever I install a new app that vibrates for whatever reason, I always go out of my way to disable it. I'm also not a huge fan of force feedback on game controllers. Sometimes it's ok, but most of the time I disable it.

I disabled my phone from vibrating too but I seldom have my phone on me unless I'm going out thou I keep it near me when I'm watching TV. I disabled all the sound notifications & I tend to check my phone regularly when I'm not on computer; I get alot of email from watched post, spam & political things. I like the vibrating on game controllers; It helps me realize when I've been hit especially when I'm listening to music & can barely hear the game.
