the older you get, the less cushioning your joints provide. :| my bike has a rear suspension and a 3" gel seat and even that is not enough to filter out the jarring jolting impacts of the bumps and ruts of the country roads I pedal on. so I had to jerry-rig a couple more foam cushions to put in between the seat and my tuckas, to make the ride tolerably smooth for my aging bones.

That apparently there's this new thing called "the belly-button challenge" where if you can reach around your back and touch your belly-button with your fingertips, you're supposedly at a healthy weight i.e. thin. I think most people who are unable do this can still be a healthy weight, and it's yet another thing to induce self-hating. And if I tried to do it I would probably dislocate my arm, and challenges I know I'm going to fail I don't need to take, right?

I could not do that even when I weighed 130# [at 6'3"], my arms were never that long.

That owning a cat can decrease your chances of having a heart attack by one-third.
I have two kitties, so I guess I don't have to worry much about clogging my arteries. :)

a mixture of 2-3 grams of l-citruline and 100mg of pycnogenol, daily, works nearly as well as a low-dose of Viagra.

How to make oven baked summer squash fries. They were pretty good, but too salty. I'll know for next time!

For years, I never thought to pay attention to how I treated new coworkers. Now that I am paying attention, I see I choose silence over awkwardness, although silence is awkward, too. Wherever my diamonds are, they are not in real life interaction. Maybe if I make more of an effort.

mebbe sit back and watch and see if any of 'em have anything in common with you, any similarities upon which a rapport could develop.
