There' another term I remember reading is vastly different. I think its "fill me in". I believe in Britain it means to kick someone's head in but in America it means to tell me what's going on.

It means both depending on context but I think that the latter is more common in Britain too.

I have only ever heard those called drinking fountains in Britain although they don't seem that common at all over here.

I think it would only be used in the second sense here as a kind of joke; as the first is more common.

Here are a couple more;

Bun in the oven
A - Tasty bread based product cooking in the oven
B - Preggers/up the duff/pregnant

Flex
A - to bend something
B - relax (northern)

Small
A - huge
B - small

Period
A - full stop, used to denote end of sentence
B - part of the female menstrual cycle

Bud
A - friend, pal
B - marijuana/weed

Dead
A - deceased, no longer living
B - very e.g. 'that's dead good'

Pissed
A - annoyed
B - drunk/inebriated/smashed/mashed etc.

Give me a lift
A - please drive me somewhere
B - please lend a hand or help out with e.g. 'John, can you give me a lift with this paperwork?'
