Love it!

I think this is why I worry about getting a tattoo. The huge ones I see on people tend to look sloppy, faded, and not very precise at least with what the design is suppose to look like. The pic above is a good example of a really well done tattoo!

I guess it would take more money to get one that was well done by a good artist.

Well this one's pretty cool for a guy

Yeah you`re right - it looks really nice and oozes of quality,
and expensive, it looks expensive, someone has spent
some hours on that one.

I'm one of these people with an entire limb that's tattooed but after reading this thread, I don't really want to post my pics again like I did on the other thread. It's insulting. Sometimes people feel it necessary to tell me on the street that they find tattooed women unattractive. OUT OF NOWHERE. It's unbelievable! I had no idea when I began getting tattooed that this would be the general public's reaction. I did it because I was utterly obsessed with tattoos. Many people are. I still find them beautiful if they are done well. Tattoo culture is interesting but it can also be exclusive and snooty. I just wanted to explore skin art, and no, it does NOT make me look like a slut.

Generally that's why I don't listen to what snooty people say.

If they don't like me or think that I "shouldn't" get a tattoo because it's "unattractive".....tough!

I had a friend who had an awesome tattoo of the bearded lady from the movie Freaks!

She had a mix of both positive and negative feedback.

Ooooh... That makes me want to get that done myself! And start doing intense aerobics >.<

The 3-D spider also looks awesome. I'd love to freak people out with it and make them think it's real at first :P

Anyway, I already made a thread of my own about my tattoo, but I might as well post it here too for good measure.

Who resurected this thread?

I have a spider tatooed above my ankle.

Thought it might be an interesting topic of conversation for the orderlies when I'm so old I'm gumming my food in the personal care home.

Why is it that so many self-righteous judgmental haters have responded to this thread, when the original post never asked for opinions?

Image

"You're going to wear that for the rest of your life!"
(said the redwood to the fruit fly)

What's it going to look like when you're eighty?
(saggy and wrinkled, like the rest of your body. You planning on entering beauty contests at the nursing home?)

Art, whether on canvas, or skin, is art. You won't like everything you see - we all know what opinions are like - but badmouthing an entire art form just because you don't understand it's appeal only demonstrates your own ignorance and intolerant nature.

I once saw a sign in a tattoo shop that said:

"The difference between tattooed people and those without ink - people who have tattoos don't discriminate against those who don't."

so true!

and I really don't get how wrinkled skin is supposed to look better than inked and wrinkled skin!

I have plans for whole back tattoo, one sleeve and ankle and no one is going to convince me to drop it.

your body is your temple- decorate it! :D
