My grandparents(My mom's parents) were tobacco farmers. My grandfather fought in WWII and when he returned, he built a house himself and bought the farm.

My grandfather got if I'm right two medals then but I've no idea for what deserts. Some years earlier when my grandpa was in the army, he had a girlfriend whose name was Bozena and it's why my mother's second name is Bozena.

When my brother robbed a local gas station the All Points Bulliten included a description of our German Shepard Brutus. For some reason he brought the family dog with him!

-Supposedly, if you go far back enough on my father's side, one of my ancestors was one of the first settlers of Maryland, way back in 1645.

-One of my ancestors had such a bad falling out with his family that he ran away from home and never told anyone who his parents are. My family's lineage is untraceable further back from that particular member.

-One of my ancestors had a wooden leg. He liked to scare and amuse people by throwing knives into it 8O !

-Some relatives on my dad's side had a farm, from probably before the 1900s to (I think) sometime in the late 1940s or maybe sometime in the '50s. The land was sold off during that time. My paternal grandfather also built, with his bare hands, a flower shop that opened for business in either 1947 or 1949, and is still in business today under my father's ownership.

-Only members of the Sanner family (which is my dad's side) could historically be pilot boat captains on the Chesapeake Bay.

I love it when the medical intake form asks about grandparents' causes of death.

Homocide
Suicide
Trauma
Alcoholism

My paternal grandfather killed my paternal grandmother.
My maternal grandmother committed suicide.
My maternal grandfather was killed when the tractor rolled over on him, (which I guess is why he and grandma stopped at eight.)
My paternal grandfather was alcoholic.

Film at 11.

Homicide, suicide, misadventure, misadventure? Well, that's better than mine, all my grandparents are either alive or dead from natural causes.

My great-grandmother was an amazingly good cook. She died before I was born tho.
