Just curious if anyone's found anything that actually works....

You remember back to when you felt fully alive? Where did that go? Is there any way to get it back?

Or maybe I'm just a freak and nobody else feels this way, I don't know.

For me, the closest thing I've found is impending doom, such as a hurricane.

So, anyone?

I never conquered, rarely came
16 just held such better days
Days when I still felt alive
We couldn't wait to get outside
The world was wide, too late to try
The tour was over we'd survived
I couldn't wait till I got home
To pass the time in my room alone

Deep states of meditation. It is like waking up from the world. Looking at plants and animals and everything around me as though for the first time, with new eyes. Hard to describe. More awake than awake.

I recommend getting a pet. My birds cheer me when I'm depressed.

I've never been in a hurricane but storms make me feel alive and the sea makes me feel alive as well.

my tortoise died, it made me alive. seeing it, walk and eat anf such things... It made me excited to hear him in the back sliding door, scratching and saying "feed me" or "ok, I am here. Come and play with me" even tortoises do not need to be played with.. they are like cats with a shell..

It made me alive, when it died I was upset and mad.. still sad not seeing it but I got over it, or did I? who knows

Travelling. Nothing injects with me new courage and hope and lust to live than to discover new places and arrive in a totally new city. Also, walking by the sea can be extremely uplifting as the sea symbolises escapism, freedom and not having any boundaries or frontiers. And yes, pets can be an emotional support as they never let you down no matter what. Good music with lyrics that lift you up or in which you can recognise your own situation, can be very hopegiving too.

But above all: travelling in my case.

Hmmm.... Well I've never managed to sucessfully meditate, I have zero attention span. I have pets, 2 cats a dog and a horse. Traveling.... I've done very little of that, it's expensive.

Interesting nobody's mentioned sex or drugs yet, I thought for sure those would come up first.

Running around in the woods like a troll.

To almost loose a hard boxing fight and
then knocking the other guy out and
win it right when you think you cant take
no more.

Nature, planting things, working in the dirt
and gravel with my hands, watching the
sky pass by, communicate with animals,
watching ants build a hill, running barefoot
across the fields, watching birds in the sky

I would say the feeling I get from a good game, not just playing but if I am playing with someone else online I feel alive. There is this one feeling you get, when your chosen weapons are a good combo, usefull equipment and you look onto the battle field, quickly think up a stratagy then execute it. And there is the times I have had where I am on a rampage and I kill several people in a row and you get the feeling that you are invincible. Favirout combo of weapons in Halo are Assualt rifle, Fule rod(or a sniper), a range of grenades and a trip mine. Apart from that I love to see that I am comeing up against a stronger opponent and then I manage to beat through pure stratagy and that makes me feel alive.

Apart from games I remember a time when I was in year ll camp and I managed to with a girl to get to the top of a climbing activity which was meant for three people at a time. It feels so good to overcome something that you may have felt was impossible.
