The Long and Winding Road-The Beatles
Memory-from Cats

Some music makes me want to scream and cover my ears, but that's not the same thing.

I find "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong to be emotional for me, and I'm not sure why. I can listen to almost anything else without much emotion.

I had this problem when I was a kid where I couldn't listen to certain music because it was too sweet; I'd get depressed and start crying.

I find this song haunting. Depending on my frame of mind, I've cried whilst listening to it.

[I think the attached video is just someone walking around London with a camcorder; the song is what matters.]

Good fortune,

Cash is awesome. It wasn't until this year that I really listened to lyrics and had feelings as I listened. It was sort of like the words were just scat, random sounds.

Cash takes all of those songs you've heard and makes them his own, imbues them with so much more and new meaning, like you're hearing them for the first time.

Wow. How right is that?

PS You look kind of like Seth Rogen!

"Into the West" gives me goose bumps.
I think it would be a phenomenal song to play at a funeral.
I also like "Imagine" by Lennon(?)
Btw, there's also an Irish film called "Into the West" which has nothing to do with the song but is a good movie and worth renting if you can find it

Music makes me cry easily. My daughter likes it when I sing Feed the Birds to her but it's hard for me not to get choked up when I sing it.

Imagine is the best song. It speaks to multiple generations. I won't listen to John Lennon anymore though. I feel a heartbreak forever, never going to heal about his death.

I definitely have cried when i heard Cash's version of U2's One. The ones that really get me are

Sometimes you cant make it on your own: U2

Hurt, sung by Johnnie Cash as a cover for Nine inch nails. breaks my heart especially with the video.

Heartbeats by The Knife

Hate me, by Blue October... I know its overplayed, but I couldnt make it through the song for a long time without crying.

Turn around, by bonnie tyler.

"Penny Lane" is a song that really cheers me up, for some reason. I like the idea of a friendly, everyday neighborhood being celebrated not because it's spectacular, but because it's home.

My favorite genre of music is 80s pop.

I also like the music by America in "The Last Unicorn".

I like a lot of music...but I'll stop now. :)

Smashing Pumpkins-Mayonnaise always gets me

Collective Soul-Run as well

There's others that will come to me later.

Oh, and hello!

"Dreams to Dream" - Linda Ronstadt

This is one of my top favorite songs. I first heard a shortened version on the film Fievel Goes West as a child, and it stuck in my mind for years and I was eventually able to buy the full version of it on iTunes.

"Listen to Your Heart" - DHT

Yeah, I know the song was originally done by Roxette, but DHT's version has a much greater impact on me.

Not exactly song, but I would say Abinoni's Adagio and the second movement of Bach's first Brandenburg Concerto.

thank you for posting this. i'm a huge U2 fan, but was unaware that Cash covered "One". gave me goosebumps and i was close to tears.

i love this song, "Is It Real" by (i think) Yoko Kanno, off the soundtrack of Cowboy Bebop. used to make me cry, not just because of the lyric.

Sun Kil Moon's "Carry Me Ohio". a must listen.

Sia's "Breathe Me", a recent fave of mine. been on loop for a few days now.

plenty others. but we're having melancholy weather here so these 3 come immediately to mind.

on a lighter note, i enjoy Kamakawiwoʻole's version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow/Wonderful World". beautiful, haunting...

i try not to listen to my fave songs too much. they tend to be on the depressing side.
