22, woohoo?

It was good that they had a few positive examples there as well as negative, ie about music.

I had a lot of trouble with a lot of that test.. So many of the questions were about being sensitive to stuff (duh) but usually with me, I'll be bothered by things that don't bother other people, but not bothered by things that do bother other people. I am a highly sensitive person, but a lot of the questions just didn't seem that applicable, or like they captured the particular ways that I'm sensitive very well. Like a lot of things that would totally freak other people out don't phase me at all (especially blood and stuff like that) but other things that other people don't think twice about drive me completely nuts.

I got a 26, though I didn't really need a test to tell me I am highly sensitive.

You have indicated that 16 of the items are true of you.

----

I think this may be due to my over-excitability though.

Yeah, some traits might be related of course.

Hey Y'all;

It's congruent with what's already known, got 25.

I can not watch TV at all any more, the noise and commotion both auditory and visually are overstimulating. Way overstimulating.

I scored 21 on the HSP test. What does this actually mean and how does a high score relate to Aspergers?

Probably could look at it as a indicatior of a trend.
Lower than half score is a proportionally lower trend of sensitivity, higher than half a proportionally stronger trend toward sensitivity.

Maybe look at it as being a weaker or stronger contributor to shutdowns and meltdowns from over-stimulation.

You have indicated that 19 of the items are true of you.

Scoring:
If you answered more than fourteen of the questions as true of yourself, you are probably highly sensitive. But no psychological test is so accurate that an individual should base his or her life on it. We psychologists try to develop good questions, then decide on the cut off based on the average response.

If fewer questions are true of you, but extremely true, that might also justify calling you highly sensitive.

I scored 22. Can't say that I was surprised.
