Why? Are you thinking about going into the drug-dealing business again?

Well meds include lots of things, at the end of the day almost nobody is "drug free". We all injest a range of drugs each day at concentrations which are too low to have a noticeable effect.

I would define a drug as a substance which is not a normal food substance

So it can not be

Starch
Cellulose
Succrose
Fructose
Glucose
Lactose
An aminoacid or a long polypeptide (protein)
A conventional lipid (fat, oil or wax)
Water
Normal vitamins
Normal minerals

But the caffine like chemicals in chocolate count as a drug, as does the tiny trace of morphine in a poppy seeded bread. While poppy seeded bread contains morphine it has too little to get a person high. But a good urine test should still be able to detect it. I have heard that as a result of ORT and "the pill" that a range of female steroidal sex hormones have entered the environment.

I would so love to get the chance measure the concetration of prozac, cocaine and other psychoactive drugs in tap water. I expect that the concentrations would be very very low.

Yes, I take meds, and I'm glad I do because I wouldn't be about to function or speak at all if I didn't.

If you want to read about prozac in river water then go to

The Science of The Total Environment
Volume 311, Issues 1-3, 20 July 2003, Pages 135-149

The paper is titled "Pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs) in surface and treated waters of Louisiana, USA and Ontario, Canada"

WP lost my post so I'll try to recreate it.

I hurt my back last week and the Dr. gave me a bunch or prescriptions that totaled over $500 at the pharmacy. I ended up just taking one corticosteroid that was only $2.50. The next time i go to the doctor I will be taking the Walmart $4 prescription list.

I'm on Paxil and Risperidone. I do very well, because of them, and I'm not planning on going off them, any time, soon.

I'm on an antidepressant and a non psych med. Plus on xanax/sleepers when needed. I'll probably be on one more med, tried one but couldn't tolerate it, even though it was "mild". I'm very sensitive to meds if they are not benzos, them I have sort a natural tendency to tolerate.
