I've actually had that conversation.

More than once.

I've never admitted to anyone outside this forum that I believe I have AS but I have tried to convince people that just because I behave differently doesn't mean I'm some kind of a deviant.

It never works. Now when someone catches me staring off into space like that I just smile and say "Sorry, Just trying to remember if I left the oven on, man, I think I need to run home."
