I found it offensive. Still, I can understand why so many here found it funny. I guess it's really hard to notice the clear intent of that video was to make fun of us, or perhaps you do notice but simply don't care being laughed at. Would it be ok if instead of aspies it were about black people? Or about gays? Perhaps some other stigmatized group that struggles for acceptance and is common target of bullying?

The eyes scene was great, I could see myself doing that.

What does it matter, humor is humor no matter who the targeted is... unless it's directed at Islam, in that case it's humor which then becomes a threat against your life.

I thought it was funny. Even if the creators of the video were making fun of us, well..... Some of our behaviors are kind of funny. It's obviously a little exaggerated for comedic effect(i think all of us know that the frowny face crying card isn't happy, lol).

I think they're not making fun of us, but how the media portrays us.

Good point. It reminded me of a good SNL sketch.

I thought it was another "do you people always think you're high?" board.

OMG this is brilliant  This is how the media protray us as well. I love the "school bully" part when he starts being aggresive then tells him about the centeen's menu :lmao:

"Do you like cows?" I think that head teacher was supposed to be a reference to Temple Grandin. Oh wait she was, they said on the video, nevermind.

When I saw the tittle of this post I was thinking it was about Aspies & drug use but this was funny. I know I mite be wrong for this but I'd watch it if it was real. I liked that girl at the beginning who was talking about herself :D Only teen drama I ever got into was The OC

Oh, that was hysterically funny! Definitely spoofing the bad acting you see on shows where folks are trying to portray Aspies as well as the funny stuff Aspies do.

I love the lunch with them all talking about their thing, so overblown and exagerated, but really cute.

The episode of In Plain Sight that had the Asperger Lady wasn't that good. She was more of a savant, than an Aspie and the actress obviously didn't know the difference and had been studying Temple Grandin. Sheesh, just because someone misses social cues doesn't mean they are a total moron about who's their friend and who is NOT, and that they *never* learn *any* social skills. Sheesh, but at least she was an adult aspie as opposed to a kid, and at least they had some facts right. They said "some people with Aspergers can't tell a lie" which is true, SOME can't.

Still, it's a start, I guess.
