I mean no phone calls, no Skype, no going to the grocery store etc, no pets. Just you in your house. You can have internet, music and TV though.

How long can you go before you start feeling crazy?

For me, it's about 3 days.

I don't know, It's kind of hard to avoid my dog for more than 2 hours, but if I were someplace where he was not probably 3-4 days max.

No people? Weeks.

No pets? Inconceivable! no, really. I don't know what it'd be like to not have pets around.

Not going crazy? eh, too late.

less than a day now and I have no pets so it doesnt take long to feel really alone-everyone I know is out doing something or have been invited to 4th of July celebrations and I am left alone-doing nothing.

I love my kitty too much to not see him at least once a day. People though, I could probably go 2-3 days without seeing ANYONE, then I just get bored and lonely.

I can last about 3 days. After the third day, I start going crazy.

I was home alone for a week, but I have my pet kitties. Without them, I wouldn't really know.

Used to be able to go 2-3 days, but after being unemployed for 9 months my tolerance for it got all sorts of screwed up, cant go for more than a few hours now :/

Been there. Done that. I live in South Florida. Every time we have a bad hurricane, it usually knocks out all power, phone and internet. That in turn knocks out TV, radio and air conditioning. Even cell phones are intermittently functional. Some times it is for weeks at a time. And yes, its very easy to go crazy.

Before I met my husband, I could probably go happily for the rest of my life without seeing another person, as long as I had my pets or other suitable animal 'familiars'. Sadly I don't even start missing him until 2-3 days apart, because it is such a good stress-relief to be alone.

If I stocked up on food, toilet paper, and pay off all my bills a few months in advance I would say I could go 6 months no problem.

I often go for a week at a time without leaving the house, and then only do so because I have some errand that must be run. Haven't had a pet for about a year now. I usually don't realize how long its been until I start looking at the calendar.

Probably effing forever and that's what scares me LOL.

But seriously...aside from being out in the general public I haven't had any contact with people or any of my friends and family in almost 5 months and I feel fine. I do have a few little friendships online that I try to maintain but that's not real life lol.
