Do you have bad posture? or wear glasses? Speaking of Body language issues, i think that posture can speak volumes about someone. As for the glasses, well that doesn't necessarily mean anything at all. But when i think bad posture and glasses, it often is continued with white lab coat and pocket protector.

I, for one have bad posture and glasses.
as for the white lab coat, and pocket protector...well i'm working on it.

I have bad posture when I am sitting. When I am standing, I can keep my back straight rather easily. My upper back slumps forward when I am sitting. I do have upper back problems, perhaps related to a life of bad posture.

My eyes are very nearsighted and I wear glasses and contacts. I feel crippled without my seeing devices, like poor Piggy on that dreadful island.

And there’s no way I would use a pocket protector! I can barely stand having anything in my pockets.

As for body language, I have been told that I present “weird,” inappropriate, or insecure body language.

Bad posture and contact lenses. But I attributre the posture to laziness and ex-fatness, and the contact lenses to the fact that people are more aware of how sucky their vision is now and a LOT of people wear glasses. I highly doubt it's an Aspie thin.

However, it IS more likely to make an NT believe you when you say you have AS. ;)

You are correct. Posture is a strong form of body language, and even if you or I don't pick up on much body language, everyone around us does. My posture was very bad for most of my life. I was always slumped over. I realized eventually that this says "low self-esteem" so I make myself stand straight now. Took a lot of effort at first. And instead of figiting with my hands, I will cross my arms or put clasp my hands behind my back.

OK, just making sure this wasn't another illusory correlation thread.

I have no problems making my self have good posture just when Im driving is usually when myposture is worst. I have the back of the seat right back so I can just lie back in the car. Some one who was half a foot shorter than me sat in my drivers seat and was surprised my mirriors were adjusted to the same level as him.

To be honest I dont really know what my posture is like or my body language.

I'm not really aware of my posture and body language exactly. but i have been told by other people that i carry myself "unusually". this is what it is. not good nor bad. I typically don't post on issues unless, i find them funny or relevent to my life. Mainly. Body language is kind of silly to analyze (imho) but i know that society places a great deal of importance on these things.

I have glasses and bad posture. The bad posture is probably because whenever I stand up straight my body makes all sorts of snapping, bone-crunching sounds, which kinda put people off.
