Autism is randomly caused by autism, obviously.

It's also been known to be caused by:

Burrowing owls
Newpaper astrology columns
Imported beer in green bottles
The insidious mix of Jenny McCarthy's spray tan with her unnaturally white teeth

But most unqualified internet pop-psychology jockeys agree, the leading random cause of austism is:

Comic Con!! !! Especially the 1987 San Diego Comic Con, because I always heard that one sucked.

This is funny because my mother once thought I may have developped a mild form of Autism because we moved to another house when I was 9 and we learned 9 years later that there was lead in the wall. :lol:

She felt really bad (because I had more and more difficulties as I grew up and had just told her what truly happened in school when I was younger) but never got me diagnosed of course, and since I have a real diagnosis of Dyspraxia now, I think she had long forgotten this idea, but I know many people who believe that autistic children (especially the most severe cases) have been exposed to lead and suddenly developped it.

(Though I have read it was linked to mental retardation in young children.)

Random cause : Science Fiction. Everyone knows that this is a nerd thing and that nerd is Aspeger or any disability. :lol:
