Anyone seen the amazing drawings by Stephen Wiltshire?

Yes I have two or three of his books. There's another autistic artist who draws similarly complex cityscapes only his are from an imaginary city called Urville. (Was it Gilles Tréhin?) I think both are considered savants. 

My favorite autistic artist was recommended to me recently by Donna Williams (who might come in a close second). His name is Christophe Pillault and he has no functional use of his hands other than to paint with, and is otherwise barely able to do anything else for himself (including walking or feeding himself)  But he has an excellent grasp of the "feel" of people (breaking stereotype, which I love because I similarly am good at perceiving that despite missing standard social cues) and paints that beautifully.

I find Wiltshire's and Tréhin's art cool too but they can often make my brain hurt if I look too long for some reason. 

Wow, lot of cool art in this thread. I remember seeing a TV program about Wiltshire, that was about him doing that big panorama of New York City. When he was in the helicopter he looked like anyone would -- just casually looking out the window, taking in the scenery. He made it look effortless.

I don't recall if he's autistic or not, but he is a savant: Richard Wawro.
