Online & Offline Advocacy

Don't be an ignorant advocate by confronting ignorance with ignorance that creates hard feelings? 8O

 To derive understanding it is sensible to first love the people of the ignorance.

:x To end hate no matter side put an end to mutual despondencies with good approaches.

:thumright: Ignorance is simply a lack of understanding and to approach an advocacy concern by calling others ignorant makes for a dumb advocate?

What have you or others considered "ignorance" or a lack of understanding by others with concern to autism?

In my personal experience I had to confront parts of my local business community for using the phraseology the" kids in the work groups" in context to autism and developmental disabilities in general. We are adults and some of us up to age 60 or more. So I concluded not to use the newspapers to confront the issue but talk to key business figures such as the Chamber of Commerce and small business owners so when they notice the somewhat popular phrase to tell people it can hurt feelings, dumb us down and prevent inclusion and independence.
