Do you find that you get so caught-up in your in projects that you physically neglect yourself, past the point of becoming ill?

I feel that, when I have no outlet, I become morbid.

When I apply myself, I don't know when to quit.

I am either worrying myself sick, or working myself sick.

No. I have not gone to bed or taken my shower or even eat. But I have gotten better now but few days ago I forgot to eat because I was too busy on the computer and taking care of my baby I just lost track of time and didn't eat. One time I forgot to take my shower.

But it never comes to a point where I get sick.

Yes, I struggle with (low-grade) depression/despondency/loneliness and then overwork and trying too hard and being too intense (then being disappointed that my efforts don't amount to more)

And I can go a number of hours in the middle of the day without eating to the point where I'm famished and light-headed.

I have had some success with the approach of start early, quit early.

I went to a concert on Saturday night and jumped around so much that my legs are really, really sore!

I don't neglect myself to so much that I before seriously ill. However, I often "overwork" myself, like in the post above.

Yes, I have this issue. I have (many times) run myself into the ground hyper-focusing on everything but the basic tasks of taking care of myself. I have to log my daily food intake into a program like Sparkpeople to remember to eat. I also do not feel pain if I am involved in sport. I call this a hyposensitivity and I have a PT, Doctor and Chiro that all know this about me and keep an eye out for me.

I overwork myself too. I have to even write down to snack because of some sort of hypoglycemic symptoms that will develop if I don't eat regularly. I've damaged myself at concerts and when over exercising.

I'm hypochondriac on the inside and stoical on the outside - always worrying about the slightest ailment that I don't understand, but I don't readily talk about it.

I usually have no idea when I'm working too hard or pushing myself too much.
