FB hacked?!

Someone from this forum messaged me saying "Hi I want to be friends but I want to know what are your interests and if you have facebook" or something to that effect. It was a girl, I initially thought, k nothing creapy here at least and blindly responded friendly and gave her my facebook name. Half hour/hour later I cannot log in to facebook after just having been on it. Nothing's working I can't change my password or anything. My friend's fb and email account were just hacked the other day so it's really weird.
But I just realized it could've been because of what I just did here. *facepalm*
I mean, once it's hacked it's over right? All my 2,000 + tagged photos and all the albums, all my info? all the friends I'd have to go back and request? I just don't know if I can even think about that.
Maybe that's what I needed. A fresh start. OMG. this is horrible!

no way. omg. then it's true. it's hacked. holy ..crap! i checked the girl "dwoolridge"'s posts.. seems like a human. i don't get it at all..how hacking goes. a human being (not like computers) gets your name, and hacks your account? wtf?!

She sent me a message too, but I stated that I don't give up my Facebook information to people I haven't met. I suppose I was correct in doing so.

Can't you have your password reset sent to your e-mail? Try that; they may not have changed your e-mail address. I'm not sure how Facebook is set up, but it's entirely likely that they can't change your e-mail without hacking into your e-mail too to confirm.

She was probably hacked via Facebook first, then her WP account was hacked afterwards.

A lot of people have the mistake of using the same password for all of their online accounts/subscriptions/identities.

I never use a password that has to do with my obsessions or special interests or anything that has to do with me.

Like I said, I don't think it is actually dwoolridge the user that is sending these messages, but that somebody hacked her. I remember talking to her on FB and WP before this happened, and come to think of it I haven't heard from her recently. Be careful of course, but don't jump her case about it, she really can't help it if her account's been hacked.
