I know it's just a dumb internet meme and stereotype, but I definitely notice basic people. I used to call them boring people or super NTs. Glad some regular NTs are noticing how annoying they are as well. It would be nice to have a non-slang term for those people. Don't think anyone will take me seriously if I call people basic.

You could call them "victims of typical NT retardation" or something.

Probably the best term is "regular guy/girl."

I'm a pretty "basic" guy--but many people would feel insulted by being called "basic."

How about "ornery?" It means ordinary, and it also means less complimentary things.

An "ornery" person is a very prickly person who is insulted by anything--and tries to pay back people for he/she being insulted.

I would say the 4th definition is becoming archaic--if it's not archaic already.

OK, what about saying "ordinary" but intoning the "di" part quieter than the rest of the word?

Hmmm......I wonder how a word that originally meant "normal" came to be so pejorative? Could it be that at one time it was felt that ordinary people were horrid?

Also, "fakes", because all they do is copy eachother to boost their ego.

I like the Sixth Sense statement: "I see dead people" changed to: "I see boring people".

I like "mindless automatons."

"Royalty" because they think they deserve a special treatment and treat us like a bad king treats his people.

Language change is always amongst us.
