I finally got around to reading my news feeds from autism agencies. I am pleasantly surprised to see how often "Man with Autism Does Something" serves as a headline. Perhaps I should set up a Twitter page to let the world know every time I am capable of accomplishing anything.

"Area man doesn't let his diagnosis of autism get him down when he goes to the kitchen and makes himself a delicious caesar salad. Read more for our interview with this local hero. #manwithautismdoessomething"

I wish some NTs would realise that Autism isn't like mental retardation or Alzheimer's (physical killer disease of the brain). Hasn't anyone ever heard of Bill Gates? Or other famous people who were known to be on the Autistic spectrum?

Nope. To the majority of NTs, once they hear the word "autism," they'll think of Rain Man and nothing else.
