We found some other relatives in there definitely. my Grandfather who recently passed away is most certainly a Warhol, and my brother Is a Nicholls,( to some extent...) My friend is defintiely a Nicholls. He was diagnosed ADHD and he fits everything on that one especially the hyper part.

Einstein and Numan, with a bit of Warhol.

I realise these are totally unofficial classifications, but they seem very useful for getting a 'feel' for each other, such as we can on an online forum.

I think I'm a combination of the Numan, Carroll, Nicholls and Sainsbury types.

Numan type with me, yes I do day dream a lot and have very strong issues introducing myself to other people. Except I have never been diagnosed as bi-polar.
However I do have my ecstatic moments like as if I am on something and short and sharp fits of anger occasionally but they are just that, short and sharp.
Also a bit of Carroll type as I rarely get aggressive. However when I do so it is usually extremely nasty, dirty and irrational. So I do have really watch myself there.

Why did they have to play background music and present the text one sloooooooow sentence at a time when I could read a website at my own pace without listening to music I don't like? (I haven't seen the whole clip yet, by the way.)

Oh, thank you so much for posting that. I was getting steadily more and more annoyed with the clip for going so slooooowly.

I think I'd be a mix of the Einstein and Morissey types, with perhaps a bit of Carroll (they mispelled his name!). I have to agree--how does the Spielberg thing even relate to AS/autism?

I'm a LOT of Carroll, a fair bit of Morissey, and quite a lot of Einstein and Numan.

I'd say that turns you mysteriously present...
100% eh, leaves little headroom for extracurricular activities...

For many of these Asperger's "types" descriptions, it sounds like a completely different psychiatric disorder is being described. If it suggests the person may have traits of or a diagnosis of another disorder, that's probably the disorder that applies. By Occam's Razor, if all of a person's symptoms (including social difficulty) can be accounted for by one diagnosis, another diagnosis is superfluous. Baed solely on the descriptions of these "types," I would probably not suspect AS in most of them (unless there are things about the person beyond those mentioned):

I don't like the "typing" thing in this manner.

However, they're just talking about different sorts of people that autistic people can be like. They're not talking about some kind of "additional mental disorders", and it's not meant to be diagnostic. They're talking about personality types that autistic people can have, based loosely on famous people. Autistic people can vary that much in personality without having additional labels tacked on.
