For those who missed it, Cordell Jude was in an SUV with his girlfriend at a Taco Bell in Arizona. When starting to leave, he nearly ran into Daniel Adkins, a Hispanic 29 year old male who was mentally challenged (not sure if Autism or something else), walking his dog. Daniel Adkins hit his fist on the hood of the SUV a couple of times and shook his fist at the driver. Cordell Jude then shot and killed Daniel Adkins "in self defense".
Cordell Jude apparently has gang connections and was even arrested for driving someone around doing drive-by shootings.
He's finally on trial for the murder of Daniel Adkins. Closing arguments were scheduled for today (Monday). There has been almost no press on this so there doesn't appear to be anything available about the trial and how it is going.
I hope that the press at least reports the verdict.
