Ouch...both arms bandaged up? Yes, prayers have already been said for you Aunt Blabby, and best wishes for complete and speedy healing too.

Get well soon AuntBlabby! I can't pray for you for I'm an ateist but I wish you could get a better bike after you recovered that have good wheels and brakes! Safety first!

Oh come on, don't you want him to get better? Christmas can come to WP in Sept or Oct, trust me. :P

He doesn't need to be born again. I was saying that he just needs to TREAT his body like it was a newborn... maybe. But what do I know. Maybe a jumping jacks regimen would be good for AuntBlabby right about now. :P

How about you adopt the deer, for a full healing experience? And what was her cooperation in the accident?

Oh, and deer can only be female, eh? :P -_-

I'm seeing what you're doing here and I kinda disapprove. Sorry. :P

OMG!

Not to demonize deer, but they can be deadly road hazards- folks in actual cars have died from deer bouncing across their hoods and crashing through there windshields.

A person on rickety little bicycle hardly stands a chance!

Glad you're alive.

Wish you a speedy recovery, and a swift return to the wrong planet.

Hope you feel better soon, AuntBlabby - we're all thinking of you here on WP. :)

Wishing you a speedy recovery.Deer are a constant road hazard here, I've been in a car when one hit us but I feel for you on a bike.A deer knocked a guy off his bike and the bike kept going on down the road,it was in the local paper.Bambi gone bad.

I thought it was going to be worse when I opened this thread. Glad to hear you're still in one piece AuntBlabby (just about) :P I've spoken to you a bit before in a thread I made and you seemed like a good guy. I'm not religious, but I hope that you rest up and make a speedy recovery.. And also get yourself a better bike!

If the denomination is not a problem for him, I shall send my prayers to the gods in his behalf. We have had some great conversations in regards to poetry and word associations and I have esteem for him.

many thanx to you ALL :!: crying in gratitude! :o  :D typing one-handed so message is terse. to answer moondust about how is the deer, chances are it already has a bullet with its name on it, as i live in hunting territory. i don't wish it harm, as my cheap bike is equally at fault for depositing me on the pavement via the chronic misbehavior of a badly designed rear wheel rim which kept on popping back tires.
at sis' house in town. sufficient help, grateful. :) i'm leftie so of course that would HAVE to be the broken one. as they say, those are the "breaks."

HI AUNT BLABBY! *waves*

I wish you well
When you are thirsty
And when it aches
Comfort Swiftly
In a feather bed
That doesn't chirp!

Whats wrong? Why are you disappointed with your progress? What's not healing right? I know a TON of home remidies you can use in addition to what the doctor has you doing.

i'm in a cast/splint that feels like a blood pressure cuff left on a bit too long. all i can do is try [mostly vainly] to find body positions that hurt the least amt. i want this uncomfortable cast off and my arm whole and my life back to normal NOW! my whole body is one solid mass of contusions and hematomas. ouch.
