Can anyone here relate to the characters in the x men films and animated series if you get what I mean?

Yeah, kind of. I tend to relate to any character who's a minority within their society, especially an invisible minority.

Although the X-Men series really bugs me, because they act like making mutants register with the government is horribly oppressive, meanwhile the likes of Magneto keep proving exactly why the Mutant Registration Act is a good idea.

I haven't really thought about it, personally. However, I've heard some jokes involving being able to relate to the whole 'cure' thing and I think I can see why.
