Does anyone else here with both ADHD and autism spectrum find that their ADHD symptoms are very resilient to treatment? I've tried a decent amount of drugs, dexedrine, Ritalin, concerta, and I'm on vyvanse now which had free side effects. Not 100% sure I tried adderal.

Maybe I'm in need of a miracle, but I've never had a drug offer much if any concrete b evidence it helped with Adhd. My psychiatrist thinks it could be because the Adhd is co-morbid with autism. (This psychiatrist referred me to the autism specialist who diagnosed me)

It would also possibly knock out years of depression which has been devastating my life.

Should I see my psychiatrist about it in the fall? (I'm currently on a long trip) I would definitely need coverage, but it might not be impossible since I got vyvanse covered to 95%

gosh, I can only tell you that Strattera [Atomoxetine] worked for me, but it came on very gradually. one day [about a week after my first capsule] I suddenly felt more "normal."

Have you tried speaking with your psychiatrist about it? Now, the active ingredient of Desoxyn methamphetamine is a major drug of abuse right now, so there is always concern you could be getting it just to sell to your friends or something (not saying you would). Basically, since nothing else has worked, though, they might trial you on it. Ask your psychiatrist!

Strattera is not amphetamine-based, which gets around that problem.

I used to use desoxyn. It worked swimmingly for about two years, then one day I woke up and realized I was totally addicted to it and it had become the focus of my entire life. Quitting was reasonably easy for me, especially given the huge doses I had tricked my doctor into prescribing me via intellectual manipulation. Most people apparently experience anhedonia for a year or more after cessation of using methamphetamine, but I was just really sleepy for a week and a half. If you think you can handle a drug that makes you feel like a god, well, I guess it couldn't hurt to give it a shot. Unless, you know, it does.

I'm not entirely sure about coffee. I'd need to experiment with it more. But it wouldn't really help with a slew of other problems related to motivation.

I already suffer anhedonia now and have suffered relatively severe depression for the last third of my life... But I just can't keep living like this.

I've been skeptical of drugs for the first 18 years of my life and the last 2 haven't convinced me that they can offer what I need.. but quite honestly I'd probably need a miracle.

Will I get addicted? Probably; I'm relatively prone to addiction and after all, it still is meth. But these risks seem minor considering the stakes at hand.
