Some people are "Captain Obvious" in disguise.
The simple truth is that if you aren't empowered to change what's wrong with a situation right away, the key is to learn to cope with what it is for now.
They were just mimicking the obvious, and honestly, a lot of people aren't as good at being supportive of others as they might think they are.
Being NT doesn't mean you have a full skill set.
