Cutting all the bull I am reminded of one thing I read here many times when I first leaned I was on the spectrum.

We can be normal is short bursts.

I spend about 45 hours at work replaying a lot of in my head makes me cringe.
As some of you will know I have a never give up attitude but I will admit it;s not easy.

You have to remember that being "normal" for us is abnormal and it's always going to be difficult.
45 hours isn't a short burst so it's going to be exhausting.
Replaying things in your head will make you even more exhausted.
Take it easy on yourself. Always remember you are doing the best you can at any given moment.

I am really grateful for the reply and I am also happy to have my job.

I also feel it's only fair I share my weakness and doubts to show others trying that this is normal.

And your right 45 hours is not a short burst a couple of hours is a short burst.

I'm also really grateful to have my job.

Amazed, really.

What I've learned over the years is you've just got to keep going whatever happens. Put it out of your mind and carry on - come back to it only when you're feeling stronger.
I still have regular meltdowns, but I recover more quickly these days.
I'm really fortunate that I have the support of my colleagues.

"Short bursts" is definitely the key idea, to me. I agree. And inbetween the short bursts of when I can do my my best to comes across as relatively "normal," I need recovery time, and I am certainly exhausted mentally (sometimes also physically).

But I agree with that general concept, that short bursts is pretty much the best I can do but any more than that, without recovery breaks, and it's worse and worse for me.
