Hi,
Recently I have begun to twitch or jerk either parts of my body or my whole body in response to both negative physical stimuli and emotional/mental discomfort, is this a stim? it isn't very repetitive but it is something I would definitely attribute to my being Autistic. Anyone have a similar experience?

I have similar experiences.

It's as if memory itself is a sensory overload...particularly painful or unpleasant ones.

As an experiment, imagine accidentally impaling your hand on a rusty nail. Do you find you react physically as if it actually happened? It's like the nervous system controlling your actions responds to the memory as if it's actually happening.

Twitching as in.. muscle twitching?

I have it for years now. i think Its called benign fasciculation syndrome. The pain and fatigue as a result can be annoying

Don't know if this counts, but when I have to get new earmoulds fitted for my hearing aids at the audiology clinic, they inject this stuff into my ears that are models for the earmoulds. It feels strange and I jerk my head from one side to the other afterwards (much to the amusement of the audiologists present). It doesn't feel nice.
