All the time. Social justice activism was my special interest before I got diagnosed; so Autism quickly got incorporated into my special interest.

'No such thing' as too much, but yes, too much. 8)

I have always loved studies of the brain/behaviour (neurology, psychology etc.). Autism is one of my favourite things to read and think about. I am also fascinated by my interactions with autistic people, because they provide me with exactly what most NTs don't in a regular social setting - stimulating conversation. I actually often enjoy hearing about people's special interests, more-so than I do hearing about girlfriends or colleagues. That's not to say that I can't have similar conversations with NTs. I will not necessarily volunteer to absorb what an autistic person has to say about their interests either. I just find it to be far less predictable discussing such things with autistic individuals, because it comes from an entirely different perspective to my own.

I find that when I need to discuss something emotional or casual, I prefer speaking to my NT best friend, but when it comes to serious matters, my autistic best friend. This isn't discrimination, it simply yields the most satisfying results for me.

Same for me. Most of the people I know aren't that knowledgeable about AS so the few times I have tried to bring it up, the conversation died pretty quickly. It's nice that I can come on WP and speak with all of you about it- and not get blank stares or uncomfortable sighs.

I don't talk much about anything in real life, but I talk about autism on my other forums pretty frequently. They say they have learned a lot about autism from me.

If and when you go to college, EzraS, you are going to be unstoppable, in real life or otherwise!

I talk about it with my mom and grandma. They more or less get it and I don't have much else to talk about it.

I only talked about it online; mostly here on WP or with my girlfriend & my ex who are also on the spectrum & I met em both on here.

Here on the internet, sure. IRL I do not talk about it, I would never bring it up. Seeking services and getting help are something that are a challenge to me, I'm trying to work on myself and become a functioning person so I have to learn to talk about myself and communicate my issues.

Autism forums...nobody in my family is interested in Autism because it doesn't impact on them.
