Awww....Thanks so much!

And I think you're swell as well! :D

I'd like to take a trip to New Zealand some day; I've seen pictures of the scenery: Magnificent!

Have you ever read Thomas More's "Utopia?"

The first part of the book deals with an eminently Socratic debate between the author, his best friend, and a sailor who just came back from exploring distant lands. There was satirical content in the discussion--but the NATURE of the discussion is what I seek to model myself after.

Do PM me if you decide to come to New Zealand. I will be happy to advise you on possible itineraries depending on your interests and show you around my city, Auckland. Haven't read Utopia, though I will look at it now.

Auckland has a beautiful climate (one of my "special interests" is the weather of cities from around the world).

Christchurch, on the other hand, occasionally has snow and freezing temperatures. Nothing like New York City, though (the place where I live).

I would be most thankful for your thoroughgoing advice.

-Tell someone that they are using their ASD as an excuse for something, when they are merely acknowledging ASD as the source of their problem. The former is used when an individual is not trying to improve, while the latter is used to make the individual feel a little less bad about themselves, and to understand the source of the problem so that they can improve. Invalidating that approach, often incorrectly, can be an unnecessary hindrance to the individual.

And this, whether the person has been diagnosed or not (this is each person's business, whether they want an official diagnosis or not). They know themselves a lot more than you know them. They know what they've been through in their life, and they know why they came to the conclusion that they are autistic/have Aspergers, and they know why it explains pretty much everything they didn't understand about themselves, you don't (because you don't know them).

And also this.

more than 10, sorry. Unity really matters to me. I am tired of the battlelines drawn by factions. A divided house cannot stand...strength is in unity. Peace.

Agreed.

- Post a photo so large that it stops the text wrapping to the window and you have to keep moving the horizontal scroll bar to read it. May have been fixed in the new version, but I thought I'd cite it anyway, as it was very annoying.

Say you are self-diagnosis, then attack self-diagnosis.

Create a sock puppet account to venomously attack people or ideas you don't like

Don't try to give advice when you yourself are scatterbrained-guilty
Don't post in PPR if you aren't up to the challenge of thoroughly defending yourself-guilty
Don't make assumptions and try to tell others what to do on that assumption
Don't create the "quote wall"
Don't bring up your own problems in someone else's help thread unless there's a point you're trying to make-guilty at the beginning of my career
Don't create threads exclusively to ask what others think of you
Don't be arrogant
Don't be afraid if someone offers you constructive criticism
Don't stalk someone
Don't be oblivious to a sub forums rule set
