I think there probably is such a thing as RDS. But I don't think it can completely explain autism or ADHD. They are complex disorders with many different symptoms. Some autistic people might show symptoms of RDS, but it in no way explains all the symptoms. Same with ADHD.

Others more knowledgeable than I might be able to provide more insights. But this is just my take.
