It's linked to how many posts you've made.
The more posts you have then the more "senior" the status (if you believe such things). Whoever set up the forum set the names and obviously is having a laugh with them and selected different animals.

It's nothing serious and you can freely ignore it. You're a Tufted Titmouse right now but in a few more posts you'll evolve into something else.

Not exactly Darwinistic, which would have been whey kewl, but hey.

it's your rank, the more posts, the higher the rank, the highest is pheonix, once you reach 1000 posts, you can make up your own rank, for example KBABZ's rank is the amound of KBABZ awards he's given out to people for spelling his username right

Here's your newest obsession. They are all flying things, mostly birds. Go to the bookstore or library and get a birdbook.

The higher your "rank", the more legendary the creature... a couple of the higher ones are dinosaurs. Once you're at 1000 posts you pick your own.

A tufted titmouse is a really pretty little gray bird with a white or beige belly with a little rose or hint of orange with a tuft on it's head. It likes seeds and berries and is smart and gregarious.
There you are !

imagine if no one had told me i would have spent the rest of the day panicking about it and woundering whether it was appropriate to ask my fellow nurses what a tufted tit mouse was!

I actually rather enjoyed being an "emu's egg".

Perhaps after 1000 posts that is what I'll choose to be again.... lol... serious.
