Who here has Asperger's and very bad eyesight? By "very bad eyesight" I don't just mean you have to wear glasses, but that your eyesight is worse than 20/500. (Mine is 20/1000+.) Please vote in the poll--whether you do or you don't have very bad eyesight, there is an option for you.

Yes, cannot be corrected by glasses or contacts any more. That's a bummer.

I have amblyopia which cannot be corrected by glasses. I am also short sighted in my 'good' eye, although this is only minor.

Interestingly, a friend of mine who is also an aspie has very bad eyesight.

I can't remember my exact prescription for my glasses but my eyes have progressively gotten worse for both near and far-sightedness since I was 16.

I have pretty bad eyesight and my glasses come with a natural tint when the sun hits them. I'm sensitive to bright light.

I am short sighted and have astigmatism. So I wear glasses most of the time, but I don't have really bad eyesight.

I think its an aspie thing to be sensitive to the light.

I also get that, there was a subject like this a while back called 'visual snow'. You can find more info about it on wikipedia. I have an alternating squint with near 20/20 vision. I can straighten my eyes but can only see things a foot away if done. :?

I wear glasses for reading, but I think that is just due to age, not AS.

No, I don't have horrible eyesight. I have myopia and -0.75 in both eyes. It's not due to being sensitive to light (I'm not sensitive to light) but it does have something to do with the sun, or so I presume. I think it's because I like staring at the sun before sunset whenever I have the chance.
