It's the one of the signature sounds of an animal that starts with a "D". The sound's name starts with a "B".

WTF? Your making a quiz show game out of posting on General Autism?


The sound...that the animal makes...begins with a "D" sound?

But the English language word for what the animal is doing when it makes these sounds starts with "B"?

And when you hear it at night it makes you ..."cry"?

Is that what you're saying?

If so...

well ... there is 'baying at the moon', and 'barking'. And thats about it for animal vocalizations that start with B that I can think of.

And bugs "buzzing".

Close enough, it's dogs barking! It makes me cry every time I heard them!

I'm not sure it's animal abuse to have a demeaning name for them.

a) They don't understand that some humans talk poorly about them behind their backs.
b) They've earned it.

So...you interpret the barking at night as being an expression of sorrow, or suffering. So it make you feel sad for the dogs?
