I've been... when I was introverted. Not when I'm extroverted, thankfully! Which proves that there IS someone home!

I stare dogs down.

So obviously, no one is home concerning me and those like me correct? :roll:

Dead-eyed here; never stared anybody down, but I do tend to frighten women and children (not intentionally).

I am neither one, but I do tend to get lost in thought. I look like I'm staring off into space when I'm really contemplating what I'm going to do during the day or thinking about something I am interested in.

I think it means lack of facial expressions and a lifeless look in the eyes. My AS mom has both. Yep, she's flat-faced and dead-eyed. So's my uncle.

If dead-eyed means staring off into the middle distance and not really seeing what my eyes are pointed at because I'm lost in my own little world, lol, then yes, probably.

I was told many times that my face doesn't express anything or that it looks as if I was sad.

I'm seen as 'serious', meaning I often have little facial movement.

Yes especially if i'm very tired and stressed-out and need sometimes alone.

Only when playing good poker.

I can identify with a lot in this thread. I think I have a fairly expressionless face, I seem to look either pissed off or just indifferent to whatever is on my mind, or going on around me.. I still get told to "smile!" for photos.

I find this apparent inability to form a strong or natural looking smile quite upsetting really, I think I must give off a pretty unfriendly vibe, and it only makes it harder making eye contact with somebody I like, for the fear of being unable to reciprocate a friendly facial expression.
