I don't like handbags weighing me down and I don't even like wallets. I like clothes to be second skin snug like leotards or to be loose as in mumus. How about you?

Shoes have to be perfectly balanced and usually that means soft leather expensive shoes I bought on sale years ago or Nike Air Rift. I gained weight a few years ago and absolutely refused to dress to accomodate the weight gain so right now I don't care what I look like but I also have rules about clothes. Do you have hard requirements about what you are willing to wear?

It mustn't be snug.

I hate jeans. I'm actually pretty picky about clothes. No jeans (the seams drive me crazy). No too tight things around necks or arms or ankles for that matter. I tend to do lots of skirts and dresses because they give me enough of the not really wearing clothes feeling without actually being naked. Underwear has always been an issue. Thank God they started making little boy shorts for girls. Hmmm....I tend to wear soft flannely fleecy things alot. No fur....feels too weird. I usually have to feel things up in the store before I actually buy anything to wear just because of all the texture/sensory issues. Weird, huh?

This isn't an AS trait necessarily - all people these days want LITE - easy and free. It's written in our DNA to let go of excess baggage and stick with the essence of who we are and nothing superfluous or dragging us down. So that goes with schedules, clothing, possessions, food and music. We're all lightening our loads and moving upwards and onwards. Clothes? Bring on the soft, natural and breathable. The polyester of yesteryear and the heavy clothes that itch and scratch simply have outgrown their usefulness, comfort and need. It's the micro-fibre millenium and for pure joy - get some crushed velvet. Steer away from Made in China - and be at ease.

My daughter couldnt stand for the seams on her socks by the toe area to touch her toes. so we always had to make them inside out. Shes outgrown all that. but her clothes MUST be soft or she will gets a rash and itch itch itch!! !!

banes of my existance in clothes -

labels that stick up inside the collar
turtle neck anything
heavy anything
itchy crap - get it away from me!
stuff that smells of formaldehyde
tight anything
anything - that isn't loose, flowing, natural and smells like a daisy.

OH BTW- I will buy from thrift shops the GOOD and natural stuff and pass over the cheap and plentiful at wal-mart. Also will not allow anything Made in China in my house if I have anything to say about it.

I can only tolerate pure cotton--and I like it loose.

Lately, all I wear are flannel PJ's,even in public.I am going to start a new trend, lol.By this time next year, everyone will be wearing their PJ's to work.(I actually dont sleep in them because I cant stand to wear any clothes in bed...I toss and turn to much and they get all tangeled and drive me nuts.

I have gone through the gambit of clothing over the years and I can get disensitized to most things(like jeans and noncotten leggings)but when I stop wearing them,I have to go through the whole process again to "get used to them".

Before the PJ's,I discovered army pants...very comfortable and lots of pockets.Ironically,I love clothing as "eye candy" and have a ton of cloths I have never worn but want to use the fabric for craft projects some days....color and texture pleases my eys but not my skin.

Cotton. That's all I want out of life. Society permitting, nothing, as long as it isn't too muggy. If it's muggy, my skin sticks to everything. Especially sand, which cakes onto me quite badly. Perhaps this would have been convenient under circumstances that my skin would otherwise have been burned and stripped from my skin by ultraviolet radiation, but, as it stands, I don't like going to the beach. I like the things that come out of the water next to it quite a bit, though.

Ditto.

I have to be wearing something or else I just feel like i'm not there :? ...very weird feeling. Also I hate the feeling of skin-to-skin contact so I always wear pants and long sleeve shirts.

I LIVE in my Old Navy red and white polar bear (also seen worn by Claire on 6 Feet Under on HBO) jammies. Ugh. I hate plugging but man they are comfie, speshly when they're broken in with repeated washings - ummm soft......

1. Loose clothing is a true horror. I can't stand it how the textiles brush against my skin every time I move. I rather like tight or heavy clothing of soft materials.
2. And I hate long-sleeved shirts. It feels terrible when my arms are covered, I cannot explain it.
3. I also feel uncomfortable in jeans.

That's about it. Oh, and of course:

4. I hate shoes that are not tight.

I laughed a little when I saw the title of this thread. It reminded me how in the escort industry, "get comfortable" means "take off your clothes". But on a serious note, I don't have a lot of issues with certain clothes feeling uncomfortable. My only major thing is that I can't handle wearing sandals; I absolutely HATE the way those straps feel on my feet. (And according to NTs, we're not supposed to wear sandals with socks.) Also, when I wear a dress shirt, I need to have an undershirt with it; otherwise it feels really uncomfortable. Other than that, I'm OK with most clothes.

Vell..I don't like bein' nekkid...

I cut the necks out of all my shirts....I can hardly go five minutes in a t-shirt that is choking me.

I used to like jeans...but now that I am sorta fat, it is loose flowy cottonystuff for the bottoms....yoga pants with a skirt over it....mus have..um...shorts or leggings under skirts...

Prefer to always have pockets.....

I also hate wearing socks.
