Case in point, I just got a facebook account. I added someone as a friend, and she "facebook rejected" me... I spent an entire day freaking out about it, thinking "What did I do?" "Does she hate me?"

Turns out, because I didn't have my last name listed, and I had an old-ish picture posted, she didn't know who I was at first.

OOPS!

Who here has been in a similar situation?

In theory, I think social paranoia is idiotic, but in practice I am rather like a housefly. Or a deer in headlights. (Not sure if those are good similes, but I think you know what I mean....)
