Hi, I'm new. I keep seeing NT in people's posts and it obviously means people without AS or autism. But what does NT actually stand for? Normal Types? Ninja Turtles? Not-in-Tune :?: ?

Just curious...

I'm pretty new too, but I think it stands for "normal types".

Thanks jawbrodt, that's what I was thinking too. But that makes AS people "not-normal, or abnormal" where I prefer to consider AS people vs. Others as Interesting vs. Non-interesting, normal people being the social lemmings.

I agree. Also, I have found some other abbreviations that I didn't know. I can't remember any off hand, and I did look for a glossary,on this site, with no luck. I guess time will tell.

Hey, I've got another Q or 2. Do you know why I'm an "Emu Egg" and what that line of boxes below my name is for?

I know that emu egg is the first stage, thats where I started. It's a status symbol, related directly to your number of posts. As for the blue boxes, I'm not sure yet. As I approach 100 posts, I just noticed my first box is now outlined. Maybe, when you reach 500 posts, you become a veteran. Thats entirely a guess.

PS; nice to meet ya.

You are welcome and you can do links too. It's in the margine above where you write replys and looks like a globe with a chain in front of it.

Yeah, at first I thought I did something wrong. After all, who wants to be an emu egg? No offense.
